I'm Varun — a senior software developer at Oracle, based in Bangalore, India. I work on backend systems, software architecture, and increasingly, on the messy and exciting space where traditional engineering meets AI agents.

This site is where I write down the things I want to remember: mental models for low-level design, system design patterns I keep reaching for, hard-won Java lessons, and notes from building with Generative AI and Agentic AI.

What I write about

Six themes, mostly: LLD, System Design, Java, Generative AI, AI Agents, and Agentic AI. The first three are the foundations that don't go out of style. The last three are where the ground is shifting under all of us — and the best way I know to keep up is to write about it.

How I work

I try to write the post I wish I had found six months ago. That usually means short, opinionated, and grounded in real problems rather than toy examples.
